What a Permanent Management Team Is
A Permanent Management Team is a dedicated team that 6 Log Solutions directly manages to meet your daily cleaning and infection prevention needs. It is one of our two delivery models. The other is lease-to-hire staffing.
The difference comes down to who manages the people. With a Permanent Management Team, 6 Log manages the team. You set the standards and the scope, and we run the team that delivers it.
Why the Model Exists
6 Log Solutions began as consultants to healthcare professionals, advising on best practices for reducing pathogens such as C. diff and Norovirus through protocols, chemicals and specialized textiles. We have over 12 years of experience working alongside infection preventionists and environmental services teams.
That work showed a need for staffing that goes beyond standard cleanliness, especially where pathogen control matters. A managed team is one answer to that need: the people doing the work report to a company that started in infection prevention.
What the Team Can Cover
The team is built around your facility, so the scope depends on what you need. It can draw on the services 6 Log provides, including:
- Nightly janitorial and day porter coverage
- Operating room deep cleaning and disinfection
- OR turnover support
- ATP cleaning verification, as a one-time reset or on a weekly, monthly or quarterly schedule
- Periodic work such as carpet, tile and grout and window cleaning
The exact mix is set during scoping. [CONFIRM: which services are typically included in a Permanent Management Team scope]
How the Team Is Managed
These details are set with each facility. We will confirm them with you during scoping rather than quote a standard here.
- Supervision: [CONFIRM SUPERVISION RATIO]
- Reporting to your facility: [CONFIRM REPORTING CADENCE]
- Team size: [CONFIRM TYPICAL TEAM SIZE]
- Agreement length: [CONFIRM MINIMUM TERM]
- On-site lead or point of contact: [CONFIRM SITE LEAD ARRANGEMENT]
If any of these matter to your decision, ask about them on the first call.
Permanent Management Team vs. Lease-to-Hire
Both models put trained cleaning staff in your facility. They differ in who manages the people and where the staff end up.
Permanent Management Team
- 6 Log directly manages the team.
- Built for ongoing daily cleaning and infection prevention needs.
- Suits facilities that do not want to supervise cleaning staff in-house.
Lease-to-Hire / Temp-to-Hire
- You get specialized staff without the HR burden.
- You can evaluate people on the job before committing.
- You have the option to transition staff to full-time on your payroll.
- You pay only for hours worked, and it scales without long-term contracts.
A short version: choose the management team if you want 6 Log to run it, and lease-to-hire if you want to build your own in-house team over time. Our post on temp-to-hire vs. a permanent janitorial team goes deeper.
Who Typically Chooses a Managed Team
A managed team tends to fit when:
- Cleaning ties directly to infection prevention, as in healthcare facilities.
- Your in-house staff are stretched and you do not want to add supervision duties.
- You need the same people in the building every day, not a rotating crew.
- You want a single company accountable for the cleaning program.
If you are still deciding whether to keep cleaning staff long-term, lease-to-hire lets you test that first.
Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Model
If you are weighing a managed team against lease-to-hire, these questions usually settle it:
- Do you want cleaning staff on your own payroll eventually, or not?
- Does anyone on your team have time to supervise cleaning staff day to day?
- Is the need ongoing, or tied to a gap, season or project?
- How closely is cleaning tied to infection prevention at your facility?
If you want staff on your payroll eventually, lease-to-hire fits. If you want ongoing coverage without supervising it, a managed team fits.
